El Hierro, also known as ‘Meridian Island’, is the smallest and farthest south west of the Canary Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean just off the north-west coast of mainland Africa.
One of the most famous elements from the island are the deformed sabinas (Spanish for junipers) due to the constant wind.
